The common mistakes are familiar. The app copies a website. iOS and Android drift apart because nobody owns the shared behaviour. Accounts and permissions appear late. The store listing is treated as someone else’s job. The first month of fixes was never in the plan.
A feature list written before the job is named will produce all of those. So will a design that cannot change when a journey fails in testing.
Name the job, design that path, and leave a person responsible after release. The rest of the backlog can wait.
